Cops & Kids Christmas

December 15th, 2018

This past week, FOP Lodge 66 was pleased and proud to hold our annual Cops & Kids Christmas shopping event. We were able to help sixty needy families and nearly 170 children have a better Christmas. There are so many, many people to thank for making this all possible – Connie Chesser, Donna Henley, and Deborah Findley for all the administrative and coordination hours they put in; Carlos Llorens and the Gwinnett Police Explorers for their hard work setting everything up and overseeing checkout and food distribution; the folks at Hebron Baptist Church for providing the food and helping pack the food boxes; Walmart and their super personnel for hosting us; and last, but certainly not least, the scores of law enforcement officers who came out and volunteered their time to make sure every Kid had a Cop to shop with. There were no least important links in this chain. Without the contribution of any one link, Cops & Kids could not have happened. Thank you one and all for making this event a huge success!
