2019 Cops and Kids Back To School

Gwinnett County FOP Lodge #66 had the pleasure of conducting our annual Cops & Kids Back to School Event. Hosted by the Shoe Carnival store in Lawrenceville and assisted by the Gwinnett Sheriff Explorers, Lodge members and civilian volunteers, we were able to provide 112 needy children from 56 identified families book bags. In addition to a Book bag loaded with Back-to-School Supplies, each child got a new pair of shoes and socks. Courtesy of the fine folks at National Vision, each child was given a certificate good for a free eye exam and glasses. Refreshments were also provided for everyone. A special thank you goes out to the wonderful staff at Shoe Carnival for their outstanding support for Cops & Kids.
