Cops & Kids Back-to-School Program

In September, the Gwinnett County FOP Lodge #66 was pleased to be able to conduct our annual Cops & Kids Back to School 2020 program at the Shoe Carnival in Lawrenceville for those returning to school. Of course, the on-going Covid 19 pandemic put a bit of a kink in our plans, necessitating some modifications. For everyone’s protection, we limited the number of members who helped with the kids. Parent drove up to the curbs and the kids got out and picked out their Book bags filled with school supplies and returned to the vehicle. The parents were given a Gift Card where they could go inside after parking their car and the kids could pick out their shoes. A special Thank You goes out to America’s Best for providing each of the eighty children attending with a certificate for an eye exam and glasses, if needed.
